Tiresome. This is the second bad film that mercilessly rips off Lynch I've seen in a couple of weeks. The other was American and also had "blue" in the title. I guess bad directors are figuring it's been long enough since someone's done something in this style and they can get away with it. They don't. Firstly, the sound issues are just frustrating, there's a fluctuating level of static/hiss throughout - at a point I wondered if it was purposeful, but in context, the only realistic answer is that it's just bad film making. There are also scenes that seem as if they should have diegetic sound, but again, probably just low effort work. There's also the sfx, sometimes they echo, others not, but hey - if you're using free download sfx why bother making them sound consistent. Visually amateurish, day and night scenes look as though they were shot with different cameras, same as interior/exterior - now, I'm NOT a film maker, but it just looks wrong visually when it moves from one scene to another. Thirdly, the acting is either non-existent - just watching some girl with an oddly over-sized rump waddle round annoying homeless folk and pointlessly delivering bad dialogue. I made it to 20 minutes and switched off. Painfully bad film.

Given that it is a co-production between Ireland and Australia, I was eager to watch it; however, that turned out to be a regrettable decision. The outcome of placing a camera in the hands of an inept individual is often a creation that evokes distress in its audience. It can be succinctly characterized as lacking intelligence. There is an absence of coherent concepts, a genuine narrative, or an understanding of acting and situational context. The dialogues presented are far from credible. I find myself at a loss regarding where to begin or conclude my critique. The notion of loser engaging in loser's endeavors has never appealed to me, making the experience rather frustrating. It seems that some individuals possess a rather peculiar understanding of what defines a film. Are you in search of Smurfette, the Blue Girl? Best of luck!
