It's more irritating rather than horror or mysterious. Everything is predictable. The ghost is very much familiar 😂. Radhika pagal hai pagal thi aur pagal rahegi......She likes to peeping in others personal zone. It doesn't call curiosity 😕. Sonali Kulkarni is unbearable. Her character is really annoying. Pushkar jog is good. Movie is too slow. It's more irritating rather than horror or mysterious. Everything is predictable. The ghost is very much familiar 😂. Film review: Victoria Ek Rahasya ( Marathi film now showing in theatres) #sanjuzzreviews #victoriaekrahasya #sonaleekulkarni #pushkarjog #marathifilm #suspensethriller #horror A suspense-horror film shot entirely in UK, Victoria Ek Rahasya is about a young couple, Akshay Kulkarni (Siddharth)& Sonalee Kulkarni ( Ankita) who are vacationing in the UK and are invited by a relative Pushkar Jog ( Adhiraj) to stay at his Hotel - Hotel Victoria. The hotel is at a remote location and soon the vacationing couple find Adhiraj's behaviour creepy. Ankita too senses an outworldly presence in the place. Is Adhiraj hiding some dark secrets or is it just Ankita's mind playing tricks on her. The film is a slow burn with the dull UK weather adding to the eerie ambience. The cinematography is awesome and outdoor scenes have been shot very well. There are a few jumpscare moments shot indoors - decently executed. Afficianado's of the horror genre might find the first half slow as there are periods where nothing seems to happen. However the last 30 mins are quite engaging as the mystery is unraveled , a bit too abruptly i felt. There is a nice twist in the end as the film ends on a logical note. If you've watched Lappa Chhapi, that was awesome & creepy as hell !! This one, though not as good, is a decent one-time watch. I'll go with 3/5 for this one.. adios 🙂!!
The handling of this story is weird. The the suspense and horror is laughable. The same story with all it's weak points could have been handled in a much better way. If the main couple wanted to find the mystery in the hotel, the audience should have been taken into confidence about it. First one hour is wasted in guessing about the real motive of the investigating couple. The dialogues look very artificial. There was no need to steal the guess sport of taking a sip for every correct guess, right from the Game of Thrones. It doesn't fit into the marathi culture. People come to watch the movie to experience a real chilling suspense and sudden shocks. Throughout the movie, the audiance never feels the chill and keep waiting for a real turning point. In short, no point in wasting your precious time over such imported culture movies.
Nothing in this movie made sense. Very little horror element and all of it is in trailer. Very disappointed. Do not watch this. Do not go with overall rating. We decided to go with this movie by looking at the ratings and the trailer. Movie is about a couple who traveled to an old out of service hotel owned by a distant relative and ended up getting involved in a haunted murder mystery. Movie lacks cohesive storytelling and most of the times, events in the movie didn't make any sense. There was potential in the story and some scenes were good but failed to land together. I will not recommend this movie.
