يحكي الفيلم قصة فنان كوميدي في مدينة (نيويورك) يتحول إلى النجم السينمائي (أندريه ألين) ، وبرغم ملايين المعجبين يقرر إعادة اكتشاف نفسه كممثل دراما جادة ، ويترك ماضيه وراءه ، ويقرر هو وخطيبته (إريك لونج) التي تعمل كممثلة تلفزيون الواقع الشهيرة أن يبثا حفل زفافهما على الهواء ضمن مسلسلها الواقعي ، مما أجبر (أندريه) على لقائه بإحدى الصحافيات الذكية جدا والمشاكسة ، والتي تواجهه بماضيه الذي تركه وراءه .
