So the whole time I was watching this movie I was trying to figure out which basic b**ch was who... probably not the intention of this movie, but all I could focus on

I was really looking forward to this movie. It looked really interesting based on the trailer. It did seem like one of those movies that would have a very linear plot but somethings simple is good enough. I really did expect that this movie would be Lifetime-ish so I was not really surprised at the way it all turned out. With that said, I thought it was an enjoyable movie. It really kept me engaged. I Thought all the characters were interesting with the exception of Sara. I didn't feel like she had much depth and I couldn't really connect with her. Like I said, this movie did feel more like a lifetime movie but with that said I do enjoy those lifetime movies. It's worth a watch whether it's at the movies or on the couch when it arrives on DVD.

3/10 - stupid and uneventful horror thriller set on a college campus is just as bad as people say it is

Most of "The Roommate" is paint by numbers Lifetime style fare. It does have an attractive cast, lead by the dreamy Minka Kelly. The story moves along at a nice pace but it's nothing I haven't seen before. The first three quarters of the movie are okay but the last twenty minutes or so are quite strong. It really turns it for a very good wrap-up. "The Roommate" would have been way better if they forgot about the PG-13 rating and went for the R. Some gore and nudity would have helped out this movie quite a bit.

It's been a while since I've watched this film, and now I've run into it on one of the Horror lists, and figured I'd give my two cents from what I can remember. The first thing I can say is that I don't remember much and not very vividly, so that's one thing I can say about it - it doesn't stay with you, doesn't leave much of an impression, and therefore - can't be all that good. The screen writing and story were nice, but not too impressive. No twists or surprises, and nothing too memorable. Acting was nice, especially Leighton Meester as semi-psycho roommate Rebecca, who was very convincing. On the other hand, I didn't much care for the message. As a person affiliated with personality disorders, I find portraying people who are Bi-Polar as violent and dangerous slightly unfair. Then again, that's just me. All in all, The Roommate is fun to watch. I sort of like the wave of "evil females" Horror films. I can't say this film was anything special, for better or for worse.

I was so distracted by the forehead lines, smile lines, and crowsfeet I couldn't enjoy this done to death crap fest. They even looked too old to be in the club. They couldn't find some early twenty year olds to play undergraduates? Crazy roommate stories You've seen it before and probably done better. Go watch Single White Female instead. I'm only one third in and we have the gratis shower scene and jealous crazy friend creeping in to knock off the best friend. You know what happens next.
