Basically Jurassic Park with zombies. Would have been great with a better script and good acting. Unfortunately, the main character isn't likable, is annoying, and is portrayed as a goodie two shoes. The actress playing her is pretty, but she can't act. Then there's the political angle about refugees and the world not caring about them. The writing and acting aren't good enough for you to take their message seriously, however. Overall, the movie is a waste of time.
It's still a good suspenseful zombie flick but there were too many stupid things like girlfriend upset with boyfriend for killing an infected person. Guys running into buildings full of zombies for unexplained reasons. Brimstone Protocol designed to contain the infection? They're on an island for god's sakes... The only protocol to ensure containment is to quarantine the island and all from there. The revelation about the zombies near the end is definitely cool though.
It's like you can see her face even from the start that something bad is going to happen even if it hasn't even happened yet and be her acting is pretty much a number because of her facial expressions
It be interesting to see why this film never made it to our cinema screens, it appears to be direct to DVD. It not a classic of the genre by any stretch of the imagination but the acting, directing, CGI and many other areas of the film at least match some of the smaller budget films I seen in cinema, think The Purge, Paranormal Activity, Monsters. An it clearly had a budget far bigger than your standard straight to DVD film or syfy productions. I would say if this was produce in the US and was set in a US context, I bet it would have gotten a lot more attention and almost certainly made it into cinema. There were few things I think lets this film down, the lack of frights, the parts where we see the people at the luxury resort was to short, there should have been more of a party atmosphere. Wish we gotten more of the story around the refugee camp and what was going on there, an how big the conspiracy was and how much of our guides knew.
I am all for another zombie flick. The idea of a zombie park on an island is fair enough. But not much about this movie is actually working. Poor story, poor acting, poor dialogue. There is only one credible actor, the guy who is a really good at shooting. He makes the best of a shitty manuscript. Here comes the spoiler: There was one thing that actually intrigued me. But one sentence in an entire manuscript just isn't enough. This whole thing was probably caused by a computer virus made by undead rights activists. Now that is something new. But it wasn't explored any further. Except this one sentence. The creators of this movie are fools. They probably had some of their friends write positive reviews here on IMDb.
