The Killing House

Right, well "Reincarnation" (aka "The Killing House") is labeled as a horror movie, so that is what I expected to sit through when I got the chance to watch this 2018 movie from writer Cheng Peng and director Ding Wang. Not even ten minutes into the movie and I am already on the verge of ejecting the movie and never looking back. Why? Well, because the movie just starts off with something boring and unappealing, and truth be told, the movie was off to such a dubious start that my attention slipped away. I managed to get a staggering 25 minutes into the movie, and I wasn't even the least bit impressed, much less entertained with what I had suffered through. Yeah, suffered through, trust me. This was bad. The movie's cover was interesting, but the contents of the movie was quite the opposite. So this was a massive swing and a miss, and it is not a movie that I will be returning to watch the rest of ever. My rating of "Reincarnation" is a whole one out of ten stars. This is definitely one of the most unappealing movies I have had the misfortune of stumbling upon in a long, long time.

Three people who met in a bar are all trapped inside a house, killing each other over and over again. The film centers on Chi (Duojie Suonan) who tries to stop the existential insanity run by a guy in a mask that looks like Ordic from "Galaxina." Pretty boring. People sitting around eating food and trying not to kill each other. Apparently, there was something I missed, like how Chi's mom and dad played into this. Guide: F-word. sex. Brief butt nudity.
