What a crap!! What is it even trying to say? Dump marriage on your honeymoon?? Then do it again? Poor Lila, they tried to make her look annoying so he'd have a reason to go out hitting on other women.... Disappointed as I expected something better. There was nothing romantic about it, never even contacted Lila again, then Miranda shows up and he jumps like a little puppy, ending his marriage again.... How is this even supposed to be romantic? Not healthy, that's for sure.. Wish I never watched it, pathetic....
I cannot believe I actually stayed in the theater for this! I should have expected the profanity and crude humor...but I thought that Ben had out grown these types of roles. While watching, I had these flashbacks of Something about Mary...a movie I was not fond of either, but that had some pretty funny moments. This movie had some very funny moments, but not enough to make this movie worth watching. I was severely disappointed in Jerry Stillers character too. Jerry is quite funny and can be so with the vulgarity. And the crudeness of the 'wife' just made me want to gag. I could not believe it. I'm not a fan of Cameron Diaz, but she did a better job making me laugh then this woman did. I highly recommend that anyone that has even contemplated seeing this, save their money. If you really want to see it, wait for cable.
This is not a great movie and is a few notches down from a lot of Ben Stiller and Farrelly brothers movies, and it is a shame because there is the premise of a great comedy in here somewhere. The basic story of a guy (Stiller) meets a girl has a whirlwind romance that ends up in a wedding only to find out on honeymoon that his new wife is not the person he thought she was. Thrown in to the mix is him ending up meeting another woman on honeymoon. Now this works okay for the most and the movie gets better as it progress' but I was reaching for the remote a lot early in th e movie checking how much viewing time was remaining. Also the Farrelly's are much crasser here than normal and this does not always work. Especially in the case of Stiller's coarse father. So stick with the movie for the laughs come towards the end. But this for me is a one time viewing movie.
Seeing so many negative reviews shocks me. My husband and I laughed so hard, I thought we'd fall on the floor. Is it crude? Yes, with no apologies.
I really enjoy this movie. No it's not in my top Farrelly Bros movies but a 5.8? 7.5 for me. I get sometimes remakes are judged more tough but where this isn't Dumb and Dumber, TSAM or Kingpin, it's a funny and entertaining movie.
This movie is not worth your time or money, it has its funny moments and but has no heart. They try to make Lila as annoying as possible and they somewhat succeed but Eddie comes out as an a$$hole and even more annoying than Lila. Yes Lila is annoying but she has heart and good intentions, Eddie on the other hand comes out to be a shallow, inpatient guy. This is not a good movie, it has some funny parts and possibly one of the most gross moments in film. This was a waste of time, it would have been better is Eddie was searching for his true love, but it seems that he just gets married because everyone else is married.
