I give this a 10 for sure. Cast is brilliant and script works for them all. My favorite actress Julianne Moore only a supportive role. Still loved her in this. Rebecca Mornay is terrific in this. She plays the role with such evil and always with this innocent look on her face. You love to hate her. Annabella Sciorra and Matt McCoy as the unsuspecting victims were well cast with the right touch of simplicity needed. Ernie Hudson was brilliant as the slow minded handyman. Also special mention should go to the child victim Madeline Zima who did a wonderful acting job. Kudos to the director and screenwriter. This is one of the best I've seen in a long time. But this is Mornay's film all the way. She is brilliant. I usually hate the female villains, but this time I loved her performance from start to finish. A must see for all viewers. It's on FLIX now. Was on LMN.

The Hand That Rocks The Cradle (1992) I seen this movie few times, I saw this movie about month ago or maybe more. I really liked the plot this movie and it was not a let down at all. I found that the movie flowed really well from start to end and I did not find it boring at all. I found some scenes really tense to watch, as your on the edge of your seats. That was really good movie, it had a slow start to the movie but when it gets going, it dose not stop! The only down side for me, as the build up the story was fine, middle part of the movie was really good but the end of the movie that lets' it down. I thought the movie way to fast after the story ended, I wanted bit more of the aftermath of what happened. The acting was outstanding from the whole cast! 7 out of 10

There's no real suspense when the plot summary gives most of the movie away. I would've preferred to have the nanny's origins a mystery as opposed to literally learning everything from the beginning of the movie. We know she's going to do bad things and none of it is surprising. What is surprising to me is that, being the widow of a monstrous human being, nobody would know her and her face would somehow not be plastered all over the news. Also that a woman needs a live in nanny when she really only needs her during the day (?) and that the mother is literally open to her every suggestion, without question. How on earth did they build up trust so quickly over such a short time period? Like the nanny is in her room watching the mom in her lingerie within a day of employment? It lacks believability. This is almost Hallmark bad. Might be worth a watch if you're bored and nothing else is on, but don't go out of your way to see it.

I don't know how this movie has such good reviews. I found this movie to be really boring, and the characters really stupid. Maybe I'm just a suspicious person, but if some random person showed up at my house looking to be my nanny, I'd be a little creeped out, and I certainly would ask more than one question in the interview. Not to mention all the strange things that suddenly start happening after she shows up. Not to mention, if I was a little girl and I saw my nanny dragging a little boy around by the arm and swearing at him, I'd be scared, and I'd certainly two my parents. Beyond all that, I just found the pace to be really slow with not many thrills.
