The Movie was excellent in all respects. I have a photo of Betty in the movie that I would like to upload to you for the "list of characters" Bill Gard

Oh where to begin...the acting was so-so. The story seemed alright. The characters had cute moments...where things went awry was near the end. Spoiler alert- "oh by the way I've been helping you search for your adopted sibling this entire movie but never once mentioned I'm adopted too and don't know who my biological parents are". Really!? And don't worry! She's reacting in a totally nonchalant manner to finding out she's adopted because she really did know this entire time, apparently it just wasn't important to the entire plot line of the movie until the last 5 minutes. This is one of those bait and switch moments. The writing isn't clever, the writers just don't give you the information you need. At the very least I thought they'd make it Gretchen's husband, but oh no, they went for the gold. This movie is too full of people not giving up plot points until their cue. Like at the bakery. Again, she KNEW Melissa was looking for her sibling and apparently knew everyone in town but never once asked who Melissa's mother was. Then all of a sudden it happened upon her like a surprise moment. Right. For a small town no one seems to know anything yet they all seem to know each other. This movie had potential. But I can only give it 4 stars because it had way too many flaws. Please skip this one! It's bad!

The Christmas Note is an awesome and great movie. I watch this every year and I never get tired of it, I do admit that I was shocked by the unexpected surprises that happens towards the end of the movie and I think that it is awesome. I liked them both and I think that movie is great for anyone who likes a feel good, warm, and happy story to watch during the Christmas season. Christmas is all about family and that is what The Christmas Note has in more ways in than one.

I have to watch this every year. I was watching "the Christmas blessings and "the Christmas shoes and realized that the lawyer's name was same as lawyer in "Christmas note", though played by two different actors and town's name was same as well as the general store was called Wilson's in those movies and then I saw that the stories were all written by same author. When I read brief description on fantastic fiction I saw that Nathan's mom Maggie had cancer in the Christmas shoes which differed from the movie. Interestingly enough, Rob Lowe suffered from same heart condition I "thursday's child as Maggie did the Christmas shoes.

The fact that it's not the typical romance was a nice change. The non stop coincidences were really bad, how everyone was a known customer or former employee in Betty's but no one thought to ask her if she know any of the people they were trying to find. The worst part was how whiney the one character was about her husband. I mean really whiney. He wasn't dead but she moped around acting like he was, how hard life was without him, how would she ever do this? She's in a gorgeous house, family is there cooking and cleaning and helping all the time, she's not really having that hard of a time except for her own attitude.

I don't want to be too negative about this movie, because in general you can just switch of your brain and watch it and cry. But what didn't do it for me was the 'witchhunt' to find the sibling. because in such a small town, everyone knows everyone (as we've seen) so the whole thing kinda felt as a stretched script to fill in the minutes. I must have missed in the beginning of the movie that the lead was adopted, perhaps it was mentioned there, so i had my money on the dad at first. I will leave it with this. But you should watch it, it's okay.

Nevertheless, a very sweet story. Unlike most Hallmark movies, I didn't know where this movie was headed until towards the end. I wish more Hallmark movies were this original.

8.0 stars. A real tear-jerker. It's a certain special kind of movie that really grabs your emotions like 'The Christmas Note'. I have to admit I was blindsided by the deep feelings of intermingled sympathy and joy evoked in me throughout the story. It starts off very soft and mellow, neighbors feeling sorry for the woman next door, because she seems so broken. They reach out to her, she is slightly cold, but that's only because of her pain. As the movie progresses, a perfectly executed mystery unfolds. Of course we all might suspect we know the answer to the riddle of who is the mystery person. If you guess correctly it probably means you aren't paying attention. That's right, if you pay attention to the details, you might get off track. The smoke and mirrors is effective, and the final reveal is totally unexpected. Which leads us to the very conclusion, and oh what a wonderful ending. This is a beautifully illustrated story of friends, family, and what it means to go the extra mile. Nailed it.
