The immigrant family is struggling to make it - and when the delivery man gets his moped stolen, he sees just how far he might go to save hope for his family.
Truly awful, utterly depressing film. Do not waste your time.
Ending kinda sucked. Worth a watch. Different ....about struggling thru life.
Not my usual cup of tea but, having read the review in the FT decided to give it a go. Glad I did. Didn't 'enjoy' as such but definitely thought provoking. It's stayed with me.
An eye opening journey into the difficult decisions taken every day by the hidden and under represented in London. Incredible and emotional viewing, would recommend.
I wanted to like it but didn't get passed 50min.... Too bored.. Call me a philistine but at least I got to 50min 🙄. Characters lacked any depth or reason to keep watching. Did any of it matter?
I wish there is a zero rating to give it for this movie. Very bad acting, boring and meaningless story. I watched it based on the high rating reviews, but I was wrong. Don't waste your time and watch something else.
An incredibly powerful and thoroughly enjoyable film.
Thoroughly enjoyed this movie Not your typical British film, however it was a great story line and loved the little twists. Definitely a 9 out of 10 if you enjoy creative writing and directing.
The scooter, the scooter is my life, cause my scooter drives my wife to work and it drives my daughter to school and the scooter gives me work as a pizza deliverer, what else is there to say that its all there is to me, and nothing more than that. Except when it gets stolen. Then my wife will killme, my boss(who owns the bike) will quater me, and then there will be nothing more left than... stealing a scooter?? Its a tragedy doubled up, one is the film and the story, most of the acting ,plot and message, the second is that its a symptom of british filmaking per annum, and nothing more than that. A film with a very well hidden meaning, stopping at the halfway, and leaves the rest of the mystery for you to end. Maybe its made by the headmaster at st augustine ltv high school(were the daughters school in the film) as an essay competition, ''what do you think will happen to this man and family, do elaborate and explain why you think so'' and good luck to you too because its a waiting game in dreary kilburn of london uk. The grumpy old man does not recommend.
