Come on. Taxi 3 is just giving what it was made for : FUN. When you see a movie like that, you don't expect a serious story with a lot of tremendous though. Just watch it and enjoy... I understand that it may be a problem with the translation in english. Maybe the jokes aren't as good as they are in french (even they aren't exceptional, they're good enough to make you laugh). The story is thin. OK. But it's not badly made. A family movie to see just for fun
come on this movie is maybe French but it's so funny and it's rated 4 only, just because it hasent been made in HOLLYWOOD does't mean it's rubbish so whats the deal with u people
This is an example of witty French comedy at its best. The production crew are clearly really enjoying themselves now, and from opening titles worthy of 007's Maurice Binder to plot steals from Lethal Weapon 4, the film merges slapstick with biting French satire and drops in a spoonful of Feydeau farce for good measure. I am sorry it is not out with English subtitles yet because it means that only French-speakers can really enjoy it. If you do view it, there is one question you will have to ask yourselves - was Sylvester Stallone dubbed or is that really how he speaks French ? There may not be a Taxi 4 - but I'll be in the queue to buy the DVD if there is.
I recently travelled to Calais to see this film, despite not speaking French. I loved the first two, as examples of fun, and energetic European cinema, and have awaited the third release with baited breath. I was not disappointed. My very very basic knowledge of the French language allowed me to know the occaisional snippet of dialogue, and managed to keep up with the bare bones plot with no trouble at all. I must confess to being a Crashophile, and have a sweet spot for any movie with outrageous, and enjoyable stunt driving within it, and yet again we are treated. Not since the God-awful exploits of Police Acadamy 6 have I enjoyed a monster truck in a comedy so much. The credit sequence is truly inspired, and throughout we are treated to simplistic yet clearly stylised French cinema at it's best. Try not to think of Taxi 3 as a serious film, and enjoy it on it's own level, I guarantee you will not be disappointed, I wasn't.
I saw the first 2, so I was really excited about the 3rd one. After I've seen the trailer, I knew that I HAD to see this movie. And I was not disappointed. Don't expect anything serious or really thoughtful, but this movie clearly has a laugh-guarantee. At least if you see it in french. I don't know about any translations in other languages but as usual, the jokes won't be as good because it's difficult to translate some of 'em. Definitely a MUST SEE ! :)
So this movie starts off with a scene of Sylvester Stallone as James Bond Running away from some people who are wearing roller-skates and its not plot related so they just put it in there for some random reason. This movies contained some stupid scenes like kids holding what looked like Desert Eagle which if they fired would break their face (from the recoil). This movie wasn't all that bad contained some nice scenes and some fantasy for example : the way the car moved. The cops don't even chase the Taxi that's going 320km/h. The story itself in not all that bad which is the only reason you may want to considering to watch this movie. This movies should be Taxi 2 and no more sequels.
To be honest, I was expecting a lot worse from the third movie based on a story barely enough for one. But the actors and jokes are still OK, and even if this can't be called a good movie, it is not such a bad "3", and it even can be fun if you take a great care not to think too much. Relax, fasten your seat belt, and you may enjoy it. Let's just hope they won't try to make "Taxi 4"...
