WCW Monday Nitro and WWF Monday Night Raw are going head to head on the 15th of January 1996, Vince McMahon and the WWF are heading towards the 1996 Royal Rumble while Eric Bischoff and WCW are promoting a Clash of The Champions special airing 2 days after the rumble. The Royal Rumble will feature the return of Shawn Michaels, the debut of Vader, and Bret Hart defending the WWF championship against The Undertaker. Clash of the Champions will see The Mega Powers teaming up to take on Ric Flair and The Giant. WWF Raw on the 15th of January 1996 features the Raw in-ring debut of Steve Austin, working here as The Ringmaster. We also see Owen Hart taking on Marty Jannetty and The Undertaker works the main event with future Brother of Destruction Isaac Yankem DDS.
