Anna Naik, the fiery patriarch of the Naik family lives in a remote village in Konkan, Maharashtra. He is known for his powerful and womanizing image and no one dares to question him for his crimes as he is known to eliminate people coming in his ways.At home, he resides with his pregnant wife Indu and children Madhav and Chhaya .Anna has taken hold of the whole ancestral property by keeping away his maternal uncle Abba's family who lives poor lifestyle in village with son Kashi and wife Vacchi they are permitted not to enter the house. Kashi looses his mental balance when Anna fires at him when they try to enter the house. Vacchi does not stop now and creates hurdles in Anna's life as they have to suffer because of him and she is the only person in whole village who dares to go against Anna. Once a tribal lady Bhiwri comes with a kid whose Anna's illegitimate child Anna sees a chance and kills her while Indu who has suffered a miscarriage adopts the kid and names him Datta. Anna has never been in prison for his crimes, due to his trusted lawyer Nene, who in reality is manipulating Anna's properties for his own financial gains. Raghu, a village priest and Anna's sycophant is seen as a religious advisor by Anna's family. Anna is known for having children,out of wedlock with several women in the village, but still no one opens their mouth in front of him or police. But the biggest shock in Anna's life comes when the newly transferred Mr. Kamlakar Patankar and his wife Kumudini Patankar arrive in the village. Anna is instantly enamored by the beauty of Kumudini who reveals her birth name Shevanta to him. Shevanta is also smitten by the macho image of Anna, in comparison to her feeble husband. Anna and Shevanta's secret affair leads to the birth of Sushma, whom Kamlakar unknowingly raises as his own daughter. Eventually as time passes, Shevanta becomes increasingly greedy about the wealth of Anna and demands a legit marriage . Subsequently Anna kills Kamlakar and several people who come in his way of getting Shevanta. But after marriage Anna dumps Shevanta to save himself. Thus Shevanta to avenge her insult commits suicide in front of the Naik family, vowing that she wont let the Naik family live in peace.
