It's a remake version of Tamil movie rathchasan. Just watched cuttputli for 30 mins and I was like bas karo yaar bhauth hogaya... Bollywood has become so boring these days because most of the movies are remake from south and some of the movies are senseless. If Bollywood continues to do same thing i think Bollywood movies will find hard time to release in OTT.. one thing Bollywood should always know when you make remake of South movie you already lost 50 percent of audience. We don't want to watch same stories with different faces. Movies has to be suspence... Thriller... When you already know what is the plot why do you watch again and again same story... It was good decision you released this movie in ott platform if it was released in theatre then definitely it would be utter flop and disaster. Akshay Kumar stop doing hell out of movie in 1 year and don't be so money minded... There is nothing change in your acting... Same acting same stunts everything same in all movies......
I expect some change atleast for entertainment. But this is even worse. No music, no thrilling experience. The movie is dark and Akshay look too old for bachelor role. Even emotional scene look normal. So much potential, all lost. For any remake next time, atleast give courtesy in starting or in the end. The villain itself look like some short of comic actor, atleast take some famous actor. No song, even thriller can have good songs. Even there can be song for villain I you are serious. Only hood thing is Akshay acting, he was intact in role. Being 50 year old, he did give good performance, but that's not enough. Please no more remake Akshay!!
Akshay kumar's career is going down day by day through this worst remakes. If akshay kumar want to make his career again in bollywood then he should be more loyal towards his film selection. Cuttputli is a remake of South indian movie which is a blockbuster. South film industry is great and after making the movie in the bollywood it becomes dustbin because actors want some changes in the script and audience don't like that changes. Cuttputli is a worst remake in akshay kumar's career after laxmi. If bollywood want it's goodwill back then the have to move on this remakes and lovestories. Director-producer Abhishek Sharma, who has co-written 'Dhavak (means runner)' with Rahul Mallick, tells the inspiring story of Sudha Singh, a talented sprinter from Uttar Pradesh who aspires to win a gold medal in the National Championship. However, societal constraints prevent her from pursuing her dreams. The story takes an interesting turn when Sudha's 'Swayamwar' is organized to decide her fate, with the goal of "marrying whoever beats her in the race."

A new cop. Multiple gruesome murders. (mind you, the bodies are gory) And the search for the killer. It sounds like any other crime story, but the makers have made sure that you will be hooked. Its a movie made for TV. Not for cinema. If you ignore the one song sequence, this is a good watch. Grab your chips or popcorn, watch it out. Acting is decent. Akshay is a natural in acts like these. Especially a cop. He shows his funny side too. (where he isn't natural is when he cries, ofcourse). The school sequence will bring a smile and take us back to days when we all at some point of time, have fabricated our parents signature. Rakul Preet is a support. Rest all the actors do their job perfectly. Christopher act is good too. One scene of his is eerily familiar to the recent Delhi Crime S02. One thing which I thought is lacking is, in movies like these, the backstory need to detailed. Should have been given 5-10 minutes more. To understand the mind of the serial killer and why is he doing the said acts. Its shown here too, but a detailed back story works wonder.
It's sheer bad luck for Akshay Kumar that they choose classic like this for straight away OTT release. For a fan of thriller movies the plot may seem predictable, but then it is the authenticity in the narrative of the sequential events that will keep your interest in this movie alive till the very end. Usually Bollywood thriller's are more focused on a happier than the real life narrative and a saviour supercop but the simplicity of all the lead characters in this classic makes it more relatable and hence a memorable experience. It was also good to see Chandrachur Singh back on the screen after such a long time and he manages to display his now polished acting skill in a limited role. Considering the plot, Rakul Preet aptly justifies her screen time. Cuttputtli (puppet) is a fine piece of work that is being shrugged of by few due to comparison with other relatable stuffs.

When it comes to thrillers, I have a curious mind, and Cuttputli is the epitome of that. I found this movie to be incredibly exciting and amazing. The movie had a fantastic plot. This film, which was shot in Kasauli, is stunning to look at. Gets more intense at times, but for me personally, it truly gets better every minute. It is unquestionably one of the best thrillers of Bollywood, and I believe this movie to be a masterpiece. Usually, the plot can become dull if the thrilling elements are not used in the right places, but this movie was full of suspense. Must watch, I would recommend all to see it.
