Boog, a domesticated 900lb. Grizzly bear, finds himself stranded in the woods 3 days before Open Season. Forced to rely on Elliot, a fast-talking mule deer, the two form an unlikely friendship and must quickly rally other forest animals if they are to form a rag-tag army against the hunters.

This is the first movie and it's the best. Elliot and Boog are a great characters with different characters, but some of their nature characteristics are really similar. The story shows a lot of funny and crazy scenes. You can feel this Yellowstone type climate. Main villain is not the best, but suits well in this movie. Also is cool to see how Boog becomes a real bear. Really good movie.
My family and I watched open season and it was pretty good. It was also funny I might add.
I remember when this came out I was about six or seven years old it was a big hit I was so excited when it came on DVD and then when I got older I stared to watch it even more and now I still like the a lot so you should let yours kids watch this movie it's so funny.
alright, this was an OK movie. But the idea of talking animals has been wildly overused. Also, the movie had somewhat of a "Shrek" theme. Its the 'im not going to be your friend' but then at the end of the movie the mood changes to 'oh ill be your friend i love you' But while it did have its funny parts (the otter using a chainsaw/right after i saw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre) (the Scottish squirills) ("well need your nuts!" "And your acorns too!") Don't worry, for those of you who saw those lines don't worry, because it was probably, like many children movies, overly advertised on TV and sold cheap toys at Burger King and McDonalds. But like I mentioned before, the movie did have a Shrek kind of feel to it. *as said by myfilm83
Nothing groundbreaking here just some fun from the era of mid 2000's animal cartoons.
