Murdercycle
I forced myself to watch this movie because I recognized an actor's name, who was a personal friend, in the opening credits. Otherwise I would have turned it off after about 40 seconds. Words can not describe the strength it took to watch it all the way through. I actually hoped at one point that his character would die, so I could stop watching...seriously! The best thing I could say about this movie was that I got a chance to read the critiques which are here on this site. Some of which are hilarious. They are correct about how bad it is. We could form a club, around who hates this movie more. Murdercycle should come with a warning.. "Don't watch this movie with a loaded weapon in the room...you may just want to kill yourself." Same goes for swords ...you may want to fall on one! It's that bad. And I don't mean...."it's so bad,it's good"...I mean it's...."what the hell was that?!".. bad.
An alien device attaches itself to a motor cycle with a human and turns into a killing machine. Unfortunately, the action is limited. The bulk of the film is about the internal drama within the investigation group and the internal struggle of Kirby (Charles Wesley ). About as lame as a made-for-TV. Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
This movie should not be taking lightly. Yes you could look at the crappy special effects and poor story, but if you look at it as a work of art you will surely see what I do. This movie is one I have being waiting to come out on DVD for ages. But they are just nailing down the special features to make it the best DVD release of all time. This movie as a near boob scene which make you want to rewind time and time again. Me and my best friend are huge fans since we were younger. This movie ranks right up there with the other greats such as Gator Bait, Good Guys Wear Black and Its Pat. ALL MUST BUYS. If you can wait there should be a high def version coming out soon and lets all hope for that sequel that this movie deserves.
Mind numbing nonsense about a possessed motorbike from outer space. 70 minutes of inane chatter and 20 minutes of low budget action. You've seen it all before; not even a good candidate for a $1 rental.
This is a Grindhouse style movie. Of course this isn't a masterpiece, it's named "Murdercycle." They probably got the rights to the movie poster and wrote the script around it. This movie is a one trick pony, it's not about the actors, which are terrible across the board. It's about how many cheesy stunts they can pull off with their costumed beast. You expect a monster riding a motorcycle killing people? That's what you get. How rare is it to find a movie that delivers exactly what it advertises? Me and a friend dared each other to rent the dumbest looking movie we could find, and really we were laughing through the whole thing.
True this movie was nothing spectacular. The special effects weren't really all that special. The acting wasn't Oscar worthy. The script was a little..well it was just a little... Yes we could all tell the "murdercycle" was covered with rubber and such...but come on...This movie wasn't too, too bad. I don't normally like sci-fi movies. I am more into HORROR. I love (for whatever reason) movies by Full Moon. This one was from one of their own spin off productions company's: ActionExtreme. This movie had an original idea (not the alien part), that really tried to develop into something. Though there was a very slow part, it did pick up towards the end, and finished with an "there could be a sequel" ending. Watch with an open mind. It is a B-movie, it was filmed on an old studio lot and that is very obvious. The whole thing probably didn't cost over a couple hundred thousand to make..Take that into consideration, and just enjoy the movie.
