The highly theatrical dervish that is Rich Swann takes on the just as athletic Mia Yim in this back and forth, lightning paced contest refereed by Jessicka Havok. Rich is larger than life from the start–all twitches and jerks and growls–but Mia can keep up and they take it to each other, banter flowing from beginning to end. The match begins technical with plenty of chain wrestling–Headlocks, armlocks etc–and low to the mat submission attempts. But soon enough, things get more ferocious as the athletes get their blood up–we see Clotheslines, shoulderblocks, even a flying splash to the outside of the ring. Mia takes it to Rich on the outside, almost getting counted out. But Rich gets his own back inside the ring with the most resounding boot to the head you ever saw, followed by Dropkicks and aerial attacks off the ropes. And so it goes with one spectacular move after another. A hard won victory comes out of one athlete employing surprising strength to hoist the loser upside down, sending a vulnerable skull spiking right into the mat.
