Memories

Just wondering on the possibility of anyone knowing if there is (or will be) a DVD version of this superlative Anime movie. Possible reward offered! For my money, the first movie of the "threesome" carries more emotional weight than any manga I've ever seen - most of which seem to go for high body count or high technology....

thats really a gr8 movie to watch. Japanese animation has been fantastic and its incredibly superb story theme. i would sincerely suggest everyone to watch this great animation movie. thanks to Japanese technology of animation that such nice movies exist!! i have watched the movie several times. i have found every time the movie more interesting. u all should definitely watch this movie. its worth watching movies like these. the fighting scenes are really marvelous. the sci-fi concept too is great.

Oh God was this movie horrible. I watched it yesterday at night for a lack of better TV shows on IFC and I regretted every minute of it. The first part, the one with the opera singer and the rose? What was that? It was kind of like watching a monkey teach French, know one know's what it's doing, why it's doing it, how it got there, or why in the hell we would watch it. It made no sense and wasted 45 minutes of my life which I will never get back. The second film however was mildy tolerable. It seemed so sinister with everyone dead but then when you relised it was the smell of a million skunks it was quite a laugh. I didn't even both watching the Cannon Fodder because the other two were just too horrible. I only give it a 2 and that's a pity point because any movie that can make me laugh gets a one point and the smell of a million skunks did it for me.

This movie contains three excellent stories that are unrelated to each other, all stories are in their own universe. The three pieces have a great artwork and a very fluid movement of characters and their surroundings. The first story is very dramatical and has a lot of suspense. The second is more active, funny and ironic. (My favorite). The third one has a very unique design of characters and artwork, has message to the viewer. Depending on which type of movie you like may vary which story is the best for you but all of them are great piece of artwork.

Art is a form where an idea reaches material substance true for all to enjoy. Enjoy memories. Enjoy the Japanies culture through animation in a class of it's own...:o

This three piece omnibus benefits from superior art and idea, but may not appeal to those who like their anime psycho sexual and bloody. The three stories rely on character, plot and structure all buoyed up by brilliant visuals and a wicked and witty sense of humor... one has to wonder why this is not more readily available as it compares in strength and quality to Animatrix.
