Since arrays form a very important part of high-level mathematics, it is important that the kids learn the concept very clearly. Array and equations go side by side and must be learned as one part. So, to learn how to do array and equations we adopt a simpler approach to them. You will have to make it easier for the kid to understand. Suppose we have an array of 4 rows and 3 columns. So, from this, we can make two equation form this array. Either we can consider the rows which will give us the equation 3+3+3+3 = 12 or we can consider the column and have the equation 4+4+4 =12. You must note that the answer remains the same either we work with rows or the columns. Similarly, you can use many other examples to demonstrate the concept to the kid, to learn how to do arrays and equations the kid must have a clear understanding of rows and columns i-e the vertical lines are the columns and the horizontal lines are the rows.
