Nice one
this move is so interesting
A fairly charming character study. I'm a bit surprised that I felt this way about it, since none of the characters are particularly likable. Many will consider it slow, as there are no car chases, explosions, or comic book heroes. Maybe that's part of its charm. Lovely photography of really nice scenery in the South of France. The lesbian and polyamory angles will appeal to some, and turn others off. None of the acting hit any false notes, at least for me.
The French location. The actors, and the music are all beautiful. The real reason to see the film is to appreciate the complexity of a poly relationship that lasts for awhile but eventually ends due to one partner being unable to share the other. This is unfortunately the fate of many poly relationships. I am fortunate to be in a successful happy poly relationship lasting almost 28 years so I know that they can work but most people just can't handle the intensity and cannot accept the boundaries. This is a good film to see if you are contemplating getting involved in a poly relationship.
Did I watch a movie or just enjoy the scenery? Didn't go Europe for 3 years this make me recall the footsteps when I travel, this part makes me rate up a bit for all the beautiful landscape from my memory. In some level, I admire the filmography more than the story. The story is not bad I need to emphasis but seems many similar lesbian and complex relationships been watched before.
Occasionally felt like a tourist advertisement for the south of France with the beautiful cinematography. My partner repeatedly commented on how hot Bertie (one of the women from the polyamorous relationship) is. All the relationships felt real and the ending left me thinking about the story for longer than usual.
Soft scenes with natural lighting and soulful music. You get an authentic view of a polyamorous relationship where each character explores what they can and can't be for each other and the balance between their personal lives and their careers.
The best thing about this film is its atmosphere rather than its plot. It's calm, soothing, summery and delivers beautiful vibes but has a poor uninteresting story. Storytelling is very good though. Performances are good as well.
I want to add that there was a sex scene with partial nudity a little over half way through that lasted probably 30 seconds or so. Easy to skip. The movie is cute and fun and had a really beautiful setting and I would definitely watch it again.
Southern France, southern meanderings. Yes. Or should I say Oui? Give this one a try and you are gonna fall in love with it. It's got all the lovey, dreamy, swishy kind of things that you're looking for.
