I understand what brethernan was saying but memorizing the thesaurus doesn't make one sound smart... suckin' a little hard and i got through the book comment much like the movie. There is a balance to things. I like the movie but could barely hear half of it, and then ( watching it on tubi free movies if that says anything ) the commercials blew me away with the opposite volume. Reminded me of the last scene in 2001 space odyssey. A star is born, far out... Watch " under the skin " for a similiar low budget art style that hoped to make millions with what looks like a home movie vacation in europe.

This is the best cure for insomnia; a bad, low budget movie. The narrative makes you fall sleep. . I wanted desperately walk away. How this can be produced? THIS MOVIE IS A COMPLETE TORTURE,NONSENSE AND IRRITATING.

Let hasn't slept since he was six. Now (because something about a second moon and a worm hole) no one can sleep. I don't know what their problem is. I had no problem sleeping through this movie.

A movie about someone who cannot sleep. I could not stay awake, and I have not napped in years. Rated two stars only because I thought the lead actor, writer, director was handsome.

I presume the somnamulistic quality at the beginning was intended to convey the sense of someone who was unable or unwilling to sleep. BUT his lines were so mumbled, though I tried, I could seldom understand what he was trying to say, other that he was tired, couldn't sleep for some reason, and moved around a lot because of his Mom (?). Glad I wanted t put on a film that would put me to sleep anyway. I have no Idea what happened after the opening scen....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I think the reason a lot of people dislike this is because it's basically a slow "artsy" indie film categorized as horror/sci-fi, so expectations going in will not be met for many. That said, I think it's a good film. Not great, but quite good. It's a movie for people who like to philosophize and think about deeper meanings. And in that category this one does not disappoint. It isn't perfect though and I do believe the main actor showed too much of the "bewildered" facial expression throughout. I would have liked to have seen a wider range of emotion but I can also see why they went that route. I can also agree in general there wasn't enough excitement. They could have added at least 1 or 2 interesting plot points to add tension/interest. Overall I think this definitely deserves higher than 3 stars!

You'll certainly find it a more productive use of your time than watching this film and helpfully the movie does its best to put you to sleep in the first 5 minutes. The lead actor is possessed of the most boring and monotonous voice I have ever heard. Insomniacs would find him a real boon. Others though should avoid the film. You'll have far more fun at the dentist.
