"Last Nite" is a song by American garage rock band The Strokes, released as the second single from their debut album, Is This It and written by The Stroke's frontman Julian Casablancas. The track was the first song to enter on the American charts, it reached the Top five on the U.S. Modern rock tracks in late 2001. Meanwhile, the single obtained a moderate success in the UK, peaking at number 14 on the UK Singles Chart.[1][2] The song was ranked at number 5 on NME's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
