In the spirit of longing – or, as the case is, belonging – the composition from Siddharth Kasyap, with lyrics written by Ritesh Dungarwal, “Khwaishein” talks about undying cravings, and the fulfilment of those yearnings that transpose individuals into a world of freedom through unlimited dreams. As these desires get satiated, it brings unprecedented joy and happiness to humans and to the immediate world at large around them. An infectious melody composed by Siddharth Kasyap that perfectly blends into a song replete with delights, desires, and dreams and the search for excellence through journeying remains the basis of “Khwaishein”. Credit for the minimalist treatment of the song which focuses on melody, voice, and words, certainly goes to music director Siddharth Kasyap as he directs the performance of pianica by Atul Raninga and the guitar of Vinnie Hutton, but it is the vocals of Jankee Mehta that are stunning, with the precision on the verse and chorus resulting in a beautiful track with lyrics that flow perfectly through the singer's voice.
