Following the outbreak of dog flu in the Japanese city of Megasaki, Mayor Kobayashi calls for all dogs to be sent to Trash Island to avoid the spread of the disease. On the same island, young boy Atari is trying to find his lost dog, Spots, with the help of five other dogs.
