Hugo Winter a roguish American drug smuggler, travels to Uganda in an attempt to export a large amount of Bulu, a sacred herb that grants the user visions of their future. Upon arriving in Kampala, he soon discovers that his only means of achieving this is through two sisters with competing agendas, born-again Kisakye and rebellious Angela, who come from the remote village of Makaana where the Bulu is grown. As they lead Hugo deeper into the jungle and further into their web of deceit, it is unclear if his drug-addled prophecies are helping his quest or clouding his future.

This film takes us to distant lands .... Magnificent landscapes, change of scenery and exotic culture for an adventure that will keep you going until the end ... I loved it.
The movie starts on a very high note by slowly becomes boring. It's very slow with many side shows. Not worth it.
Hugo (Nicolas Fagerberg ) is a drug smuggler/dealer. In one of his deals he is given a small amount of Ugandan Blue. The drug allows you to see the future. He travels to Africa and to a small remote village, the source of the drug used by witch doctors. It is a tough trip and he finds himself in the middle of a land dispute between the local priest and a poor family. The film had some good scenes, but for the most part it goes nowhere. They clearly didn't know how to end it. Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
This movie has nothing extraordinary, and I suspect that the 10/10 reviews are from the production themselves. Otherwise, there are some really good ideas, and the the choice of location is great. You get some nice place specially in India and Uganda. The main problem is that once the movie pass 30 min, the story goes all other the place, the main character seems to act randomly and the narration get lost in long and boring non senses. The movie stop becoming interesting and it is hard to reach the end without suffering off boredom. The director needs to manage the tempo of his movie to keep the interest of the viewer. Having beautiful scenery is not enough. The storytelling in this movie is pretty bad.
This ambitious film is a beautifully written mind binding story with unique characters, dramatic performances and stunning visuals mostly shot in the mystical jungles of eastern Uganda.
