This had a good amount of trees in this film. As a fan of nature I approve of this and of the title. It's very accurate. Lots of trees with a whisper like sound. Very impressive team you have there! 🌲
This is an indie mystery/drama movie. Almost like an experimental movie, you watch it through the protagonist's eyes, his eyes are the camera, like a video game. No budget production and flawed. Leading actor's voice sounds weird and kinda funny. He should speak in his native language, or they should hire an actor with a better accent. And this is a problem because he is not convincing, he doesn't seem like he mean or realises what he say. If he spoke his native language, i would have felt more his agony, his fear, his feelings overall. Due to his weird American accent, this felt almost like a comedy, at first. However, there are some redeeming qualities here. The twist came out of nowhere, it was not brilliant or very good but it was original and i bought it. It doesn't even make much sense but i still bought it. This movie indeed keps you guessing like a reviewer wrote. It's not what it seems. Furthermore, the dialogue between the two actors is well written and kinda interesting. Female actor does a great job, using just her voice. I didn't like the male accent as i said before, but as the movie progressed, i got used to it and i enjoy the movie. And the ending was emotional. I couldn't expect such an emotional ending, it touched my soul. I can't recommend this movie because it was not a good one, but it's not a bad one either. If you'd like to watch a weird, flawed, almost experimental, indie mystery/drama with no budget and unexpectedly touching ending, you might like it.
Often reviewers judge a movie based on an unrealistic standard set by large budget films. I think it is fair to judge a film based on the context in which it was made. Give this film a chance. It is an original idea and it is this that should be the standard by which this film is judged. Focusing on the films limitations takes away from the intent of this independent film maker. This was beautifully shot and clever. One might call it a slow burn. I enjoyed this film. At some point you may suspect what is happening (or it least I noticed it had a certain "feel" to it.) in this case, my suspicion was confirmed and revealed to me one of the twists in the story.
