Head of the Family

This is a silly film. A family lives on the edge of town and experiments on people. Lance (Blake Adams) discovers the operation and blackmails them. That was not a good deal. The experiments which were the main plot point of the film were not really shown and explained but was rather ad hoc. We know the head wanted a body, but what exactly was he doing to get one? This movie was a very strange movie to watch but I definitely recomend you check this movie out I thought it was just amazing I love me somw full moon movies

Head of the family is one of the best from full moon. I know that's not really saying much and full moon is an acquired taste I actually watched a few of these when I was younger and didn't care much for them but as I get older and watch more and more awful horror movies I realize some of these older b horror movies are actually pretty good. Head of the family is one of them.

Don't get me wrong. I've got a considerable soft spot for the works of Charles Band, both as producer and director. But you've got to raise an eyebrow when the man who was willing to put his name to "Dollman Vs The Demonic Toys" sticks a pseudonym on anything. As a bit of bad-movie fun, "Head Of The Family" is rather lacking, although it is better acted than you might expect. Jacqueline Lovell is a definite talent who deserves better than these kinds of movies. J.W. Perra is also quite funny as the titular monster, though for such a superintelligent being he does get hoodwinked quite easily. Y'know, I'm nitpicking because the rest of the movie is so sharp and witty of course.... And having a lead character called Lance Bogan? Nice one guys. We didn't know you Americans knew that piece of slang!

Strong, well-done dialogue. Good sex scenes. Good horror elements and violence. B+ FX. One of the best Charles Band films. Good casting. Very watchable. Do it up!

That's a line from the movie, and that's what it is. This movie was wacked out from the start. The Stackpool quadruplets each have an odd abnormality. There's Wheeler, whose sense of smell, sound, and sight are incredibly enhanced. Otis has the strength of ten men, Ernestina (?) has, well, some special physical talents, and Myron is a giant head with a tiny body. Myron has cleverly dubbed himself "head of the family" because his special talent is an infinite intellect and he has the power to telepathically control the other 3. What a privilege. This is most definitely one of the oddest films I have ever seen. The southern one-liners are all over the place, and there isn't enough horror to classify this as a horror movie. However, the scene where Myron's big nasty 3 foot tongue slobbers all over Jacqueline Lovell's breast was rather horrifying. While this film was definitely , well, different, I must admit I got some enjoyment out of it.

I thought this movie was amazingly funny. It had good acting and the lines that came out of Miron's mouth were great. It could of done without soooooo many sex scenes though. The Stackpools are a strange family. Everyone in the family has some strange size or shape. This goes without saying for Miron, the head of the family. Lance, a small town guy, is trying to get a hold of stackpool's money but as you might imagine Miron is not very happy about this. This is a good movie with loads of laughs but please if you're going to watch this movie do not go in expecting a horror movie. This a scifi/comedy. If you go in ready to watch a horror movie you're going to be very disappointed.
