" No speech here " no intention to confuse anyone but that's the idea of this movie the use of emotions and feelings, the viewer has to read meaning into the gestures of the actors. The movie deals with an interracial relationship! But this relationship is platonic, it happens between a black man trapped in his own world, this changes after he encounters an Asian Muslim lady, he tries to adjust his ways, most visibly his dressing. The black man lives his everyday life some how confused until he encounters the Muslim lady this is often the climatic point in this movie, she brings out the life in him as she is his other half she serves as a medium of happiness and excitement for the black man. Despite the use of emotions and gestures to connect with the audience, the movie looses its touch on the way like a school child who can't find the way home although I must commend the daring effort of those who put this out it could serve as a modern example of an early era in film studies. The actors actually do a great job although I believe that the role which was played by Johnny Jordan Jr. Should have actually been more emotional and method acting should have been employed in that role played by the actor, it creates a lacuna which would only be eliminated by an individual who desires to look the other way.
It was a waste of time Please work more on the stories. There was no content It was very upsetting Homeless people should not be portrayed like this I did not like this movie.
I think it's the most beautiful feature film I have watched in a long time. It is such a heart warming story and the execution was spot on. Not a dull moment in the film at all. I now look forward to more of your work. This films is for those who have a finer understanding for life. There is a warmth in my heart that I cannot explain.
To bring the heart and soul of this message to the screen with a compelling cast, carefully selected images, messages on humanity, and a delightful soundtrack while keeping the wholehearted protagonist on a sustainable trajectory to be the hero in his OWN life, means this director/storyteller is a miracle-worker of his own kind. BRAVO! Very excited to see how the awards will continue to stack up and afford this team opportunities to "tell us more" about who we ALL are on the big screen.
Worth watching! A good message delivered in a dialog-less narrative! While the key actors did extremely well, in fact beyond my expectations, you cannot miss the perfection that has been delicately delivered by Sri. I am sure there are much more successes in store!
Liberal stereotype of Muslims is all over this horrible movie. Don't waste your time, I would rather watch paint dry. The characters don't reflect the truth about the average Muslim woman.
Almost 30 years ago, there came a silent Indian movie called Pushpak (starring the great Kamal Hassan) and everyone said it was beyond its years. When I see this movie's reviews, I still think there's a certain section of movie lovers who don't get 'silent' movies. But, it's clearly an extremely well-made and a sensitive movie, which goes beyond any genres, nationalities or even cultures. The background score is top-notch and the title bgm is stuck In my head (where can I download this by the way?) Making an indie movie with limited cast, budget and resources is not an easy thing, but somehow the team pulled it off. Hats off! The world needs more sensitivity and I am glad such movies are being made. Bring them on!
This movie was great. A lot of people try to stray away from certain topics that truly needs to be addressed. Hats off to the Director and Writer for going out on a limb and addressing problems that we face in the world today. You never know who you are helping through your work. The actors were amazing as well. I rarely give movies a high rating because I'm a very deep thinker and think too much into things, but I had no choice but to give this movie the stars it deserves.
This movie was very touching. The entire movie from the beginning all the way until the end grasp my attention. I have never watched a movie with no speaking but yet understood the message that was been delivered. Adam is defiantly a good actor. Hoping I can find more of his work because that guy is good.
One of the best I have seen in the recent times. It takes deep understanding of life , cultures and movie making, to show such highly intellectual content in an entertaining manner. I wish to see more coming from this team.
