It is worse than a bad student film and the what is said about Billy Meier is a complete lie. He is the only authentic contactee of the Plejaren and there has never anything disproven or debunked because it is a true case. If you want to know the truth you have to investigate yourself and do not believe terrible filmmakers who mix 20 percent truth with 80 percent fiction and the essential information is left out.
Foxfur is an oddball indie. In this film people can travel between time and alternate realities. Something happened in 1982 to trigger the event. There is a lot of talk about aliens, Mayan calendar, gravitons, and whatever bizarre stuff you can come up with. People live within programs and perhaps that is the statement of the film is that I should get off my butt and stop writing this review. At times it reminded me of "What Mad Universe." Foxfur (Tessie Tracy, Cassandra Nuss,Sarah De La Isla) is on a quest for various scientists who have disappeared. The world around her is filled with computer enhancements, things she did in the first scene. It is not a bad film, but I grew bored of light flashes and a plot that was incoherent for much of the movie as was Foxfur herself. Cool black slime. The film has a cult following. When it was first made, DVDs were produced which Damon Packard freely distributed to his friends. The confusing part is that the lead character, Foxfur, is played by three different people. This worked out well and seemed to fit into the plot, however it was not by design. It seems the girl playing the role quit and likewise so did her replacement. By accident it made the film more interesting. Parental Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity.
No Yeah, this is California. Or it WAS California. California ended at the end of 1982. I know; I was there. There were Granny Goose chips, and Martinelli's sparkling apple juice. But I usually drank beer. We had generic beer. It was just called "Beer". There were different brands of generic beer. This was only possible; because the otherwise unadorned cans were of different colors. Food Basket had yellow cans of Beer. Mayfair had white cans. Safeway had... was it a blue stripe? Or green? We should have bought better beer. Because it's true; the world ended then. Now, it's just on rerun. And there is no more generic beer. See, we believe the beer is Bud, or Millers, or Pabst. But it's really just "Beer". Plain, old beer.
Perhaps unless you're high. Probably a lot of fun to make but not so to watch.
