This movie is great. It has great acting and a storyline. I don't understand people who rate movie like this one poorly. Give it a honest try.
... and from the comments, it shows. People talking about how it's boring and long.... No. I hope this movie will take away some of the stigma against people who are in active addiction. No.... It's not "once a junkie always a junkie". These are real humans with a de habilitating disease. DRUGS TOOK OVER MY LIFE and I hope none of you ever have to come back from that because it's one of the hardest things I have ever done.
Wow! Great performances by the ladies! I am never disappointed with Glenn Closes performances and Mila Kunis is on the same path. So I rated this film 7.6/10. Good good movie Imdb when are you'll going to put in the decimal point? I would actually rate it an 8 if it was alittle longer.
I work in EMS and don't see this side of heroin addiction very often. It's pretty touching and hopefully is able to impact someone out there. Definitely a new role for Mila Kunis. It was hard to see her in a different role but I think she did good. Worth the watch if you need a break from the everyday super hero movies!
I don't think Mila Kunis suits the role or portrayed an accurate version of a heroin addict, though I do commend her for taking a chance in her career to do so. The depths of addiction reach much darker than anything in this film did portray. An accurate depiction of drug use would be found in films like Traffic. I don't think this film was particularly believable nor powerful in any sort of message.
Rehab and how heroin destruct human life and people around is the storyline. Probably some wrong information but focus on the acting makes you enjoy the movie.
