I love a movie that makes me think, and ECCO didn't disappoint! The cinematography was beautiful, the cast was amazing, and the story was deep and intense! Definitely worth seeing again!
This movie is well crafted and thought provoking. Not your typical spy shooter movie but one that explores the intimate and untold side of assassins.
It's a love story. It's a life story. We get to see the lengths a man will go to uncover his past and protect his family. Apparently it's the director's first full length project, but you'd never guess that after seeing it! Watch out for the name Medina, I have a feeling you'll want to see his next thing. Yes, it may not be a physical roller coaster ride, but it sure is an emotional one and the action it does have is impressive. Very well done by everyone involved.
2 hours of my life I will never get back. Started with about 12 people in the theater. At the end, there were 3. Slow, terrible.
The cinematography in this movie was on point. I really enjoyed the visual aspects of the movie and the "twist" at the end was a real suprise!!! It's a must to go check this flick out!!!
Visually stunning and well-crafted first film from Ben Medina. His take on the crime thriller genre was amazingly creative and unexpected! Great performances from the cast especially Lathrop Walker made for a unique and satisfying experience. Go see it!
It feels like the characters can hear dialogue that you are missing, because somehow they seem interested enough in the plot to keep going, well after I zoned out entirely. Everything in this movie was done better by another movie, including the big twist ending.
This movie really makes you think! The love stories were a nice addition and made feel a deeper connection with the characters. The entire movie has you questioning the plot and wondering where it will go. The twist at the end was like a nice cherry on top and quite a surprise. The acting was genuine and real and the scenes were beautifully shot. Overall a really fun movie!
The Dude sums it up: "This is a very complicated case, Maude. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's. And, uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man." The story has a lot of twists and turns and you gotta pay attention to catch them all and keep up. You get a generous mix of action, intrigue and build up. But it's worth the ride to get to the end. On top of the interesting story, there's some really beautiful cinematography, well crafted shots, and a great score that reminded me of Blade Runner.
It's always a problem when the central characters are all blond women and men with half shaved faces. Are these different people or the same people at different times? Who knows? Who cares? Is this a film about an assassin, or corporate espionage,or a pair of lovers? Who knows? Who cares? Did someone get a discount on a guitar player to score the entire film? Who knows? Who cares?
