Dobermann

I found this film 97 percent very good - it's running with an excellent-made action, ultra-violence, beating music and a reiterative plot (therefore the 3 other percent). What I really did like was the editing that contribute the film very realistic feature (more then others movies that futile just because the editor was merely an amateur) and the beating and the hitting scenes looked very good with then. although the film is delivering the goods - from the prospective of the visual side (and in a very good way, i must add) - it's failing miserably in delivering an intellect/thoughtful message or somewhat of a meaningful point. Of course, I don't criticize the film too much about that, though i prefer the point-making-movies. This film is for those who like action films with a lot of violence and a tepid plot, that it's only pure purpose is to the bring the viewer a 90 minutes of mid pleasure - which it does!

This movie has a great value and it is used like an example in my movie school. It's perfectly directed and edited. The story is simple, but unique...Vincent Cassel is the most tallented actor of nowadays, he has truly natural expresion...and he is certainly able of taking any kind of role.I simply can't imagine anyone else in the role of Dobermann. And I can't wait to see Jan Konuen's new movie "Irreversible"!

Filmed in the style of a slick MTV promo with lashings of dark humour and ultra violence,Dobermann launches a relentless barrage on the senses right from the word go and manages to keep up its frantic pace and hold your attention right to the very end.Loved all the characters,each more crazy than the next but in my books Tcheky stole the show ,his performance as the viscious,psychotic bent copper Christini was truely menacing and a real joy to watch.Only gripe was that the script seemed a little weak but perhaps i missed a lot not being a speaker of French.Ce'st la ve.This movie is by no means deep and meaningful but i loved it for what it was ,a lovely slice of mindless mayhem.Enjoy it.

see it, like it, LOVE IT...... in the movie is very much good action in a high Tempo....you see it and you are in totally control of the movie.. just watch it, and love it.... excellent movie!

When you show this movie every week to a seven-year-old, you will definitely know that you have created a monster! Dobermann Yann (Vincent Cassel, Gino Carbonara in Guest House Paradiso)is the perfect gangster in this movie. This movie wins from "24 hours in London" regarding to the unique action scenes. I do not recommend to watch D. with sweet people. I'm not familiar with other stuff of Jan Kounen, but this one's definitely an action masterpiece!!

Once again the french movie industry shows that they are far better than Hollywood. A movie that moves you as well as fulfill your need of blood, gore and action

OF COURSE NO COMPARING WITH FIFTH ELEMENT BUT STILL THE MOVIE IS SUPERB. THE BEST FRENCH ACTION AFTER LEON. AGAIN NO COMPARING WITH LEON THIS MOVIE MAKES US BELIEVE THAT NOT ONLY USA CAN MAKE ACTION MOVIES .

Story follows the gang of bank robbers trying to pull of the greatest heist of all times by robbing every major bank in the city, in one go. In their way stands an evil cop who will stop at nothing to get the gang leader. Violence is quite strong, and people are dropping like flies. The strongest point of Doberman are the hilarious characters who include murderer priest, brass knuckles specialist Pitbull, Sonia The Blowjob Artist and many others. Top stars Cassell, Bellucci, Karyo and all the rest of the cast are really at their top form. There is plenty of laughts and rude humour in it, great shootouts and excellent soundtrack. If you can through the opening credits with smile the rest is just an entertaining ride. People who enjoyed early Tarantino movies will like this one. Watching well recommended.
