No pun intended - there are things that you may not really like about low budget horror movies. One of those things being actors who are not convincing. You may call them other things/names. I have seen worse actors to be honest - but they still are not really helping the movie. The movie does look ok overall - don't expect amazing cinematography though. The title is a bit of a ... dead giveaway (come, I had to), but there is more to the story than just where this is heading and what we uncover - not just between the sheets but between the lines. And that is more horror related than anything related to love ... of course childhood trauma and other cliches are being used ... and a bit of Exorcist is in here too .. not the greatest comparison one can hope for ...

It's not a very original movie, but it has an interesting premise that manages to build tension and keep you hooked until the end. It has elements reminiscent of Insidious or Rosemary's Baby. He goes straight to the point and gives clues through the flashbacks, putting together the story as a puzzle. It can be confusing at times and misses a few loose ends. The edition, the sound and the environment manage to generate a good atmosphere and result in another common horror film that manages to entertain. A good film although not very original, but with a fresh atmosphere. My final rating for this movie is 7/10.

Wow this movie is truly horrible on every level. The plot is a father commits suicide and the daughter, her "baby" and her boyfriend move into his house for some reason. The baby looks like she's 18. I'm not kidding in the slightest. The direction is interminably slow and will put you to sleep. The script reads like someone wrote a bunch of gibberish, threw the pages in teh air collected them and then said OK here's the script. The acting is a smiddgen above amateur. Unfortunetly the movie is just bad. Not funny bad. Just really so bad you will be upset at yourself that you watched this fiasco.

When I sat down to watch the 2022 horror movie "Dead Bride", it was without ever having heard about the movie, so I didn't know what to expect here. But with it being a horror movie, of course my interest was sparked. And thus, I opted to give writer and director Francesco Picone's movie a fair chance. And now that the movie has ended, I virtually have only a slight clue as to what the storyline was about. This movie was a confusing mess. I literally was left with a sense of 'what was this all about?' as the movie ended. So I can't say that writer and director Francesco Picone really managed to churn out something worthwhile here. I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, and that is usually something I enjoy when I sit down to watch a movie. However, I must admit that it was not the case with "Dead Bride", because the acting performances here were fairly wooden and rigid. The movie ran for 83 minutes, and without really understanding what was going on or why, then it was a very prolonged movie experience. Not a movie that was particularly enjoyable either, mind you. Visually then you're not in for a particularly outstanding horror experience, as the movie made very little use of special effects. There was some adequate prosthetics and old-fashioned make-up effects, but that was about it. If you enjoy horror movies, do yourself a favor and find something more entertaining to watch, because "Dead Bride" simply isn't worth the time, money or effort. My rating of "Dead Bride" lands on a generous two out of ten stars.

A murdered bride brings a curse on the murderer's family, resulting in the abduction of his infant great grandson by the spirit of the same murdered bride. The boy's mother has to travel to the spirit world in an attempt to get him back. Will she be successful? If you've seen Insidious, you've seen this movie, only far better. Not only does this cheap imitation lack originality, it also lacks sympathetic characters. Took me a while to figure out why the dialogue was so flat, but ultimately I realized that it was not recorded during photography, but later in a recording booth and then dubbed. It's not a lip-sync issue here, but an emotion-sync: The vocal emotions don't match the action on the screen. That, and an over-reliance on an intrusively melodramatic score, took me out of the film entirely on too many occasions. It gets some points for some decent effects for its budget (though there are some effects that do look quite cheap) and a nod toward demonology, but otherwise, well...If you miss this one, you'll not have missed anything, really.
