Cry Wolf

A game on campus that seems to go wrong and people are winding up dead? Yeah I have seen that script 10 thousand times before. Anyways this time around we are supposed to be enthralled by our lead's stupid British accent and his leading lady's red hair. Well I must admit, Dodger is pretty cute but it's not enough to make this movie worth watching by any stretch of the imagination. The premise is that a circle of idiots, excuse me, "friends" agree to start a rumor tying a recent murder into a freshly fabricated urban legend involving their college campus. What happens next is apparently indicative of the accessibility of strong prescription drugs to people who live in Hollywood. Every plot twist is an underwhelming scooby doo moment of lameness- don't waste your time watching this crap it's way too stupid in it's attempt to be clever. Seems like the script writer may have been in their teens.

This is a movie about 5 or 6 Highschool kids that start a rumor that a killer is on campus. Each student dies one by one throughout the movie and so do their careers. If I were an actor in this movie I would have prayed they killed me off first so I could get the hell off set. This film was unrated, but could have been rated G...for "god awful". There was no violence or nudity, which took my focus straight out of the movie. Also the Chinese girl fits into this film as much as the fat kid who sits in front of you in philosophy class fits into his seat. Somehow these kids had the vocabulary of Harvard grads, yet when they try to execute their stupid game, they fail at a sixth grade level. I would rather sit through seven consecutive episodes of "Tyra" than go through that modern day torture again.

Saw it at a screening and was surprised at how much I liked it and now I have to see it again because the ending was so shocking, from memory it holds up...I can't think of any holes, have to go back to be sure. No gore, but really well done suspense. It's been a while since there's been a good suspense film. At the beginning you think it might be another "Scream" but it goes deeper. They expect the audience to be smarter! Great script! The acting worked, in particular Lindy Booth and Julian Morris. The score was different which made it more interesting. It's really hard to imagine in this day and age they made this for $1 million dollars! I absolutely recommend this movie.
