🥊 FIGHT DESCRIPTION: Brian Norman Jr. left the Tokyo crowd in stunned silence, violently flattening hometown favorite Jin Sasaki with a devastating knockout. The 24-year-old American champion retained his WBO welterweight title Thursday at Ota City General Gymnasium, stopping Sasaki in brutal fashion with a vicious left-hook counter in Round 5 that left him motionless on the canvas for more than a minute. Norman (27-0, 21 KOs) was in complete control from the opening bell, dropping Sasaki twice in the first round. He struck with a counter left hook inside 40 seconds, then punished Sasaki again moments later with a sharp three-punch combination after the Japanese challenger missed wildly. Sasaki (19-1-1, 17 KOs) continued charging forward, but his reckless attacks repeatedly walked him into Norman’s precise counters. Norman continued landing the heavier, cleaner shots, with Round 3 becoming another showcase of the champion’s dominance. Then came Round 5. Sasaki fired a slow jab toward Norman’s body, and Norman instantly detonated a brutal left hook. Sasaki’s head slammed hard into the canvas as he collapsed, prompting immediate medical attention and a stretcher evacuation. Norman walked away with his title intact—but the terrifying knockout left the Tokyo crowd in complete shock. No immediate update on Sasaki’s condition was provided after the fight.
