as my heading this really declares om what i believe is true.Cillian Murphy has delivered yet another amazing performance.this young Irish actor deserves all the credit that is given to him recently. He will sore into the spotlight for sure after this movie.I for one do not think this movie as my best cillian performance..Disco pigs rates high up in my charts,so does the Character Jim in 28 days later which i do believe to be his best acting yet,he was great in intermission, also red-eye and batman..which I'm sure he will be in the new batman due out in 2008 BTW. as it says he is a developing characters in this movie so I'm not too sure but fingers crossed eh folks.

Just saw this and it immediately went to the top of my list for 2005. Even above "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang". It's that good. When it was released a few weeks ago, I recall the reviewers raving about Cillian Murphy's performance. Yet, it hasn't shown up in any of the top ten of the year lists, so far. What happened? Is it too sophisticated? Is it because the viewer has to make an effort and accept the fantasy? Wonderful performances, beautifully photographed and what a soundtrack. (Dusty & Van). This should send Cillian Murphy's stock through the roof and if anyone hasn't seen him in "Intermission", another Irish movie, they should make it their business. Neil Jordan adds another gem to his body of work.

If you see the trailer of this movie, you can think this is a bore. You can think this is only a movie to celebrate gay people and nothing else, but you're wrong. Here Cillian Murphy is SUPERB in his interpretation of this gay guy growing up in an Ireland torn apart by the Northern Ireland affair. Patrick "Patricia Kitten" Braden is gay and all of the people look at him like he is the weirdest people they ever known. I think that what really makes Cillian and this film GREAT is the fact that his character is not at all intimidated by the people and his fellow citizens, but he is able to mock back the people who consider him an aberration and at the same time he finds his interior balance accepting his gay sexual tendency since he's a young boy. I recommend this movie.

I absolutely loved this film! What an amazing performance from Cillian Murphy! It made you laugh and it made me cry! It was a whirlwind of a journey, a little sad in places but I swear in other scenes it had the whole cinema laughing! People should give this film a chance! The whole cast was good, but the people who stood out apart from Cillian were of course Liam Neeson and some might say a surprise performance from Bryan Ferry! Its not until the credits did people realise he was in it! This film I felt was on a par with VELVET GOLDMINE. The soundtrack was superb! The pacing of the film moved rapidly through emotions. I didn't want the film to end! I hope to read the book now!

I am not sure which I did most. Kitten is a delight from start to finish. The optimism in the face of prejudice and sadness is amazing. Being a Bryan Ferry fan for his whole career meant I recognised him but his soft voice leaves you for just a while wondering if Mr Silky String is actually dangerous . Then the silk * ( kinda perfect for Bryan) makes you gasp. The whole Chanel no 5 saving Kitten and the scene in which it's used against violence on a bigger scale is brilliant. The fact that he never tells his mother who he is is just heartbreaking . His little half brother is wonderful too as smart as Kitten . The talking Robins is a rather magic realist touch but lovely. Cillian Murphy should have won every award going that year .
