Dracula vs. Frankenstein

I can't say anything bad about the film. It has so many good people that were connected in making the film. That it overshadows any bad thoughts that I could have about it. I really wish that a sequel could be made. I plan to go and visit some of the cast and crew members this summer. To the remaining cast and crew that are still around if you see this comment. I really appreciate your work.

I have no idea what possessed me to watch this turkey again, but it was on Monster HD and I did. Story of Dracula bringing the Frankenstein monster back to his creator so that he can be used to take over the world is amusing garbage. I've seen and hated this film (like most Al Adamson films) over the years any number of times. The film plays like a home movie with big name stars (Lon Chaney, J Carol Naish, Angelo Rosito , okay not big name but name). Amusing in the right frame of mind- giving up any hope of quality helps- which is why I think I kind of liked it this time I knew it was crap and took it on its own low level. this is a film for a bad movie night on the couch.

This movie is fun for the entire family. It features one of the greatest "drug-trip-sequences" ever captured on film, it has the last performance of the classic movie star, Lon Chaney. You've gotta love any flick that somehow packs bikers, classic monsters, hippies and a blond with a body and cleavage that won't stop all in one movie. I don't know how to exlain it better than this... the acting is bad, the directing is sub standard the effects are complete crap but it's still an excellent flick. duh, go buy it:)

This movie is awful, but it's SUPPOSED to be! Without wonderful cheesyness like this life (and movies) would be a far duller experience. Naish and Chaney, obviously short of cash but always the professionals, give this movie the class Adamson knew it would. That's why he hired them. Chaney's character is sort of "Lenny with an axe", right down to the puppy dog he carries around, and Naish couldn't give a bad performance if he were unconscious. This is a wonderful movie for lovers of the "so bad it's good" school.

This has been and continues to be one of my favorite cult films of all time, i first saw Dracula vs Frankenstein as a very young teenager, about 13, at the only theater in the town of Riverhead where they showed horror and cult films to pot smoking teenagers. That night, i fell in love with miss Regina Carrol and have been a fan of hers ever since as well as a fan of her husband, director, Al Adamson. I'm watching Dr Dracula right now and wonder why this had to be her last movie, she looked as beautiful as ever.Other favorates of the Regina and Al movies would have to be Satan's Sadists and Brain of blood. Still wating for Viva las Vegas to come out on DVD, haven't seen it yet in stores, but with Regina, Beverly Hills and Ann Margret together with Elvis, this is one movie that must be in any DVD collection.

Forget all those spoilers who call Al Adamson, the godfather of all hilarious trash movies, a nasty little dilettante - and give a damn about this film´s ranking on the 93rd place of the worst movies here on IMDb!!! When this shot was featured in the late night program on German cable television the TV guides gave nothing but bad reviews about it..! Actually this masterpiece is a joyride for all trash-cinema-lovers, J. Carrol Naish (Frankenstein) and Zandor Vorkor (Dracula) were simply amazing in their roles! "Dracula vs. Frankenstein" is much more ambitioned and has got much more charm than all those soulless direct-to-video-shots that are released nowadays!! Al Adamson is a genius!!! R.I.P.

Dracula wears those plastic vampire teeth throughout this awful film that goes nowhere. There's an angry scientist who runs a carnival spook house (he's really Dr. F), the creature known as Grodin played by Lon Chaney Jr., and sci-fi guru Forrest J. Ackerman makes a cameo as a rival scientist who discredited Dr. Frankenstein! There's hippies and bad acting and a midget! (the same guy who played Master-blaster in Mad Max 3) This film has it all! In one scene, Dracula (played cunningly by Zandor) appears suddenly in the car of the rival scientist. The man notices that a vampire is in his car and exclaims, in un-enthused B-movie fashion, "Who are you?" Drac responds, "I have been known as the prince of darkness- turn left here." Incredible how bad they can make 'em. See it soon if you love bad movies.
