Dammnn, this is masterpiece the cast performance, plot ,cinematography and the screenplay is peak. Not going to lie this film got snubbed with nominations.
source: Blindspotting
What a very silly film. How did this get a 7.4 rating?? A waste of 90 minutes.
This is the most Oakland movie ever created in my opinion, the film oozes with so much Town flavor that I fear a plethora of hipsters will soon enough come flocking from all over, trying to claim the Bay as their new home. Pros: everything from the writing to the directing & acting was on point, I also loved the breakdown of the word Blindspotting & how we all are guilty of such action. Cons: No Mr. FAB cameo, I was waiting to see him show up in some capacity.
Awful movie. Completely trying to push political agenda. Poorly written. Poorly executed.
This film is as real as it gets on the streets. Excellent directing, outstanding acting, perfect score (although near the end I thought I was watching a rap video) and great writing, except for the ending that I felt was a little underwhelming. 8/10 from me
This movie plays as if someone from Albany wrote a movie about what they think Oakland is like. Stereotypes are all checked. Cliches all covered. I appreciate a couple local heroes getting some screen time. Appreciate the homie's "kill a hipster, save your hood" shirt. Would've like him to get some credit (DJ Treatunice) but I get it. It's a movie, not an ad campaign. Oakland royalty's names used for tech characters? This movie is lightweight offensive. And the "rapping." ...oh ,the rapping. This movie is for people who saw (and could afford to see) Hamilton multiple times. The crowd that wants a peak into black culture but from a safe place.
