This movie is not offensive, which is usually what I reserve a one-star rating for. However, it is so poorly made in every aspect that it was a chore to sit through. Nothing new here and the production value is terrible.
Your scientists were so occupied to see if they could, that they forgot to ask if they should. Jurassic Park
Dumbest damn movie I've ever seen. Constantly chanting "keep the promise" throughout the movie. Meant nothing. What a total waste of time. I want my hour and a half back. Acting was pitiful.
Lacking even a modicum of effects in terms of making the ghost or supernatural events scary, but a decent enough story and some good performances. Another reviewer's claim that the film is "political propaganda" is absurd. There is no "Armenians good; Turks bad" agenda in the story. The story features both noble and ignoble Armenian characters and is NOT simply about vilifying the Turks or Turkey. It is a fictional story with some connections to the Armenian genocide which is documented historical fact, rather like "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" was a fictionalized story set in the WWII Holocaust era. I wasn't thrilled by this movie, but was reasonably entertained by it.
This is shame for Armenian community...the producer is making fun of genocide... And the actors are ridiculous..I couldn't stop laughing at this stupidity...shame shame shame..Mr.Art Arutunyan please keep the promise not to make anymore movies...
My ten year old son can come up with better script, better acting and better smart phone camera recording. I don't even know why this garbage is labeled as a movie! It should be on YouTube and labeled as mature camera testers. I've seen pronos with better plots and better acting. What a waste of space on IMDb.
ARMENIAN HAUNTING sounds potentially interesting with that title but you soon realise that, like A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT, this is actually an American movie with an ethnic Armenian cast and crew. The story is low key and extremely limited in terms of budget, involving a young woman who delves into a familial mystery and soon finds herself being haunted in the present. The whole thing is very, very slow and let down by some rubbish post-production editing effects, such as having the video sway on the screen. The bit with the vomiting of the plastic bugs is also quite embarrassing.
Don't waste your time watching it. They didn't spend $1 in this movie. just political propaganda.
