Will say right now, was not expecting much from 'Alien Siege', although there was something about the premise that semi-intrigued if more to see whether anything at least okay level can be done. It did look bad and sounded like it would be ridiculously and lamely executed. But my main reason was to see whether it would be an Asylum film that was marginally watchable (which has only happened like three or four times perhaps with them) rather than their usual very mediocre at best and often dreadful standard. By The Asylum standards, 'Alien Siege' is not quite one of their worst (though close). At least there is a little unintentional laughter at times rather than the usual constant groans and cringes, though they are there too aplenty. That is not saying an awful lot though, as 'Alien Siege' is still awful in every single way with no saving graces other than the fleeting novelty value. Just to make things clear, am not biased against low-budget films, or of the genre the film fits under. Have seen my fair share of guilty pleasures that were made on a modest or less budget and there are films of that budget that still manage to overcome budget limitations and execute other elements well enough to be passable at least. 'Alien Siege' is not one of those and personally do feel, and am feeling apologetic about this, that that it's low budget is not an excuse for such low quality. This is an example of a film that was a non-trier, one that looked as if no effort or heart went into it, hence the lowest possible rating here scored (rarely give them out these days). Visually, although not the worst-looking film from The Asylum, 'Alien Siege' looks incredibly cheap even for something made on a low budget. It's very drably and sometimes dizzyingly shot, incoherently edited (bacon-slicer-like) with glaring and unforgivably sloppy continuity errors and even the scenery doesn't make much impression despite being actually the least bad aspect of the film. Saying the special effects are less than special is insulting, they are some of the most laughable and pathetic-looking special effects to be seen on celluloid, actually looking they were done as an afterthought and on the small remainder of the money they had left. Music is intrusive, monotonous and repetitive, music is very important for me to talk about when reviewing something and it really wasn't pleasant hearing music that gave you earache and nausea. The sound is poorly balanced and borderline creepy. The dialogue is utter gibberish and truly childish, almost like there wasn't a script at all. How it was approved beyond first draft is beyond comprehension. There is absolutely nothing thrilling, tense, suspenseful, emotionally investable or fun about the story. The predictability may have been forgivable if the film was actually engaging let alone exciting but it fails to be either throughout. Lets not get started on how insultingly nonsensical and ridiculous it is, things similarly are so vague and confused that coherence was also a major issue in places. Any conflict had no urgency, imagination, fun or menace at all, it was all just dull and dumb, with dizzingly shot and edited action that lacked any kind of energy, enjoyment or tension. As sort of expected, there are illogical and irritating character behaviours that makes one endear to them even less in a film with not one interesting or rootable character. There is not one halfway decent performance either, almost like they weren't even trying or didn't know what their lines were or what to do with them. The threat not only looks cheap, they are not threatening or menacing at all, they are not even interesting...basically nothing. Summarising, very lousy and that is me saying that in a slightly generous mood. Catastrophic mess more like. 1/10

This is a low budget independance day movie where they've stolen the ending with fireworks and the spacecraft crashed onto the Canyon close to Washington DC....

ALIEN SIEGE is yet another alien invasion-themed dud from The Asylum, perhaps riffing on the recently-released INDEPENDENCE DAY sequel. Aliens arrive and proceed to blow up many American landmarks in various cheesy CGI scenes, while the human cast members run around a lot and supply melodrama. It's silly, simplistic stuff, the same kind of film that the Asylum have done to death in the last decade, with nothing at all to make it stand out.

Yes, I know I almost wasted 2 hours of my life but once I started I couldn't leave it because I guessed the end had to be "brilliant"... and it was! (in a trashy way of course). Did anyone noticed that where the kid gets the lightbulb from his father ('cause it's a blooming lightbulb) it breaks and at least half of it falls to the the ground?

OK it only takes about three minutes into this movie to realize you were seeing something truly awful. But at the same time it is so amazingly awful that you do nothing but laugh the entire time. The other brave souls who have commented here have done a fantastic job pointing out all its flaws. I however, will focus on what it does well - It makes you laugh! You will laugh so hard that you will watch this movie over And over. The expressions on their faces are so amazingly devoid of actual emotion that you think the aliens are the better actors. I cannot express my sheer joy at watching this movie because I can think of nothing else while I am laughing! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Lol this movie is garbage. Sorry but it's a waste of time. The acting is soo terrible so are the special effects. In the first 10 minutes you will see how they managed to make the white house look destroyed and you'll figure that this movie is absolutely not worth a minute of your lives.

I can not believe what I have just watched, my eyes hurt, my brain hurts the thing was so goddam awful I had to watch it until the end just to see the full horror. I'm guessing somebody had a spare 50p to use up so they decided to make this thing. For the love of god I'll give you your 50p back just to get it off the air. Please writer's the next time you want to make a film get in touch and I'll give you a few unprofessional pointers on how not to traumatise an audience. I will never be able to unwatch this diabolical excuse of a movie it is forever burnt onto the inside of my eyeballs

Not good ratings on IMDB, my secret confession is I kind of enjoyed it. Yes, it's low budget, it has the least presidential President I've ever seen portrayed, the acting is average and the plot ludicrous. But I still kept watching it in a, this is just plain amusing kind of way. The aliens are not original and look like the general public looks to me when I take my glasses off and they appear by somebody rubbing what looks like a snow globe. A poor man's Independence Day, why do alien attacks always happen over Washington? why not a little village in Denmark? My quote of the movie came from The President "Protect yourselves, if I go down it will be chin up." Inspirational stuff!
