The musical box opening music at the beginning credits was the most creepiest thing. The rest of the film was poor. It had no story and didn't explain anything. The ghost girl who appeared briefly earlier on was the scariest. The other ghosts were not, they looked exactly like the main couple characters who moved into the haunted house, except the ghosts were wearing emo make-up. A nice big house bought at an auction, even though the couple are meant to be penniless with nothing. Why did the girl show up to the new home owner? Who was she? Why was she related to the story? Who was the boy who witnessed the death of his family decades earlier? Who were these ghosts? Did the auctioneer know about the hauntings? Why did the same crowd of people appear again at the second auction and sat in the same places too?

A movie that I wish I could give a negative 10..... Painfully bad. I'm betting none of the actors are even actors, especially Gervase Peterson, who played the mayor. A friend of the director or maybe a homeless person (see his photo and you'll see why I think thar) who agreed to do this movie for food. The "actors" who played the couple who bought the house are just about as bad, although the husband, Jon Hacker, is, at least, gorgeous. I'm betting that's why he's in this movie. The director picked him for his looks, and certainly not his acting ability. I mean he doesn't even have a headshot on IMDb, which furthers my theory. I'm telling you these people are so bad, they cannot be actors. They just can't. I mean I've seen community theater in a small town with incredible acting. People who act for free because they love it. So why in the world wouldn't they pick one of those people instead of these three? That's why I think these are not professional actors at all, but we're doing a favor for a friend, probably the director, and getting paid in pizza. Of course the script is simply wretched. They had nothing to work with. Meryl Streep and Robert Downey Jr couldn't have done anything with the script. Stilted dialogue that does not sound in any way like real people talking. It is like the screenplay writer had never actually heard real people talk before. It would be laughable if it wasn't so painful. Did anybody read this script, or did they just adlib and make it up as they went along? For instance, the couple walk down the hallway upstairs and say, "Let's check out the master bedroom," and how did they know it was a bedroom? Then they're sitting on the edge of this bed and the husband says, "Oh, I think that's the master bathroom." Oh really? And how does he know that? They haven't been in any other room upstairs. There could be a bedroom twice as big as the one they are in. Then in the bathroom they see the bathtub is filled full of brown water and instead of just pulling the chain to get it to drain, he sticks his hand down in that nasty stuff to unplug the plug. What the heck is that about? You see what I mean? If it's that easy to pick this movie apart twenty minutes in, do I even force myself to watch the rest of this thing? The wife doesn't want to use any of the furniture that's in the house. Why? I can see why she doesn't want to use someone else's bedding, but why wouldn't you use the big beautiful furniture? Husband says that we can go pick out some furniture together. Well don't they have any furniture? We know they've been together for two years at this point. What are they using for furniture now? Why do they need any furniture? We haven't been told with their last place burned down or anything. The music is terrible. Absolutely terrible. As if the person who did the music just ran their fingers up and down the keyboard. Like anybody could have done. And that's all the music seems to be. One keyboard. Maybe it's just some program they bought online? And there isn't even anybody writing the music? That would make sense. I won't say anything else about this movie except run! Do not watch! It is time you will never regain. Watch paint dry instead.

This movie comes across as if a high school forced their students to make a movie. No effort, no skill, no talent. Struck me like it was written, acted out, and edited together in a few days. It's funny that one of the factoids for this film is that the two leads are actually married. They had so little chemistry, I thought they were * stars. They are both very pretty, I'll give them that. The ghosts are the two titular characters in grey makeup that wouldn't have been scary when I was two... No set, just their house... I could go on and on, write an entire book about every little thing the film failed to do. Not going to do that though. Everyone involved with this thing didn't care, so I don't either.
