On April 13, 2024, at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, veteran brawler-turned-pro Alejandro “Porkchop” Guerrero stepped in the ring with unbeaten junior lightweight prospect Jalen “Sky” Walker. This eight-round undercard bout for the Top Rank–promoted event was Guerrero’s chance to derail a rising star’s momentum. From the opening bell, Guerrero set the tone with his rugged experience—pressing forward, landing heavy jabs, and staying on Walker’s heeled feet. Walker showed grit and confidence, but Guerrero’s pressure and timing started to break him down early. In round 2, Guerrero tagged Walker with a perfectly timed straight right down the middle—sending Walker crashing to the canvas for the first knockdown of his professional career. The combination of jarring power and veteran savvy had clearly shifted the fight’s narrative. By round 3, Guerrero had Walker on the back foot—landing heavy body shots and keeping the young southpaw off-balance. When the final bell rang, Guerrero secured a unanimous decision victory, handing Walker his first professional loss and reminding fans that inexperience can be exposed. 📍 Date: April 13, 2024 📍 Location: American Bank Center, Corpus Christi, Texas, USA 🏆 Result: Guerrero wins by Unanimous Decision 🏆 Stakes: Eight-round junior lightweight showdown (undercard of Anderson vs. Merhy) This was a defining moment for Guerrero—and a wake-up call for Walker.
