Hanyan Zhuang was abandoned as a child and raised in the southern countryside but eventually returned to her family in the capital. Her return catches the attention of Yunxi Fu, a deputy minister at the Dali Temple, who suffers from a mysterious illness. The two eventually become a loving couple.
