With WWF Raw airing on the USA Network and WCW Nitro airing live on TNT every Monday night, fans would choose which show to watch. This resulted in a TV ratings battle between the two companies. This time period in pro wrestling saw record viewers tuning in every week to see the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, the nWo, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Goldberg and Sting. This week on WCW, Hollywood Hogan makes an appearance. The WCW Champion answers Lex Luger's challenge in regards to a match at Road Wild 97. Ric Flair cheapshots Syxx during a promo (while the Outsiders weren't around to help Waltman), Hall and Nash arrive to the building a little later and a main event match gets booked; Chris Benoit & Ric Flair vs Kevin Nash & Scott Hall. On the WWF channel, we're once again in Canada and the crowd in Halifax, Nova Scotia is seriously fired up for Raw is War & The Hart Foundation.
